The Membership of the federation is open to all four tiers of the Cooperative sector I.e.national, state,district and primary level cooperative besides Govt of India, ncdc and state government. The societies interested to obtain Membership of NFDCL are required pay share contribution @ Rs.1,00,000/-to Rs.10,00,000/-depending upon their level/starting others are to contribute, as decided by the general body exception in case of ncdc which is to purchase share valuing Rs.10,00,000/-(Rupess ten lakhs) the application from appended

Nominal Membership of NFDCL is open to cooperative societies on permanent of refundable fee of Rs.2500/- however such members shall not subscribe to its share or have any interest in the management thereof including right to vote elect as Director(s) office bearers of the board of Directors to participate in the general body or any committee meetings or in sharing of its profit, purchase rebate or liabilities. Such Nominal members would be entitled to do business with the federation on mutual agreed terms & conditions
